More from Bubba Gump's

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is an American seafood restaurant chain inspired by the 1994 (yes, that long ago) movie Forrest Gump. As of October 2022 there were 34 restaurants world wide, with 22 in the United States.  More to the point, there are at least two in southern California.  One is on the Santa Monica Pier, the other is really close to Disneyland.

When Chris Pratt was 19 he was discovered while working as a waiter at a Bubba Gump's in Maui, Hawaii.  You guys know him from Jurassic World, but his best role was playing the lovable goof Andy Dwyer in one of my all-time favs: Parcs and Recreation.

Most of the kids (and me) like to get the meal called Shrimper's Heaven.  It has fried shrimp, coconut shrimp, tempura shrimp, fries cocktail sauce, Cajun marmalade, and tempura sauce.  It's good.  Mandy is a big fan of the Fish and Chips.

The wait is unbearable.  If I get my way (and I often do) I think we'll skip trying to get a table for 25 people and just DoorDash something good to our hotel. Or, even better, we should plan on a trip to Downtown Disney to eat at that awesome Mexican place.  The burger/shake place looks like fire, too, no cap.
