I love you. I know.

Upon a bright and sunny afternoon, Little Christian, Reagan, and Amelia didst find themselves within the hallowed grounds of Disneyland, their eyes twinkling with great anticipation. The trio, eager for the adventure that awaited, didst prepare themselves for the Rise of the Resistance ride, of which many tales had been spoken.

As they approached the ride’s entrance, Christian, with a grave countenance, turned to his companions. “Harken, comrades, we art now members of the Resistance. Let no mirth or frivolity befall us. This endeavor is of utmost seriousness.”

Reagan, ever the jester, suppressed a chuckle. “Verily, Commander Christian,” she did say, giving a mock salute. Amelia, her eyes wide with a mixture of trepidation and thrill, simply nodded in agreement.

The grand doors didst open, and they were ushered into a chamber of darkness. Lo and behold, a stern officer of the First Order did greet them with an authoritative voice. “Ye are now prisoners of the First Order. Interrogation shall commence anon.”

Christian, striving to maintain his bravado, puffed out his chest and declared, “We shall reveal naught!”

Reagan, unable to contain herself, leaned toward Amelia and whispered, “Methinks he takes this role too earnestly.” Amelia didst giggle, which elicited a disapproving look from the officer.

As they journeyed through the ride, encountering stormtroopers and droids aplenty, Christian led with valor, whilst Reagan and Amelia followed, their jesting becoming increasingly audacious.

Then, they found themselves in the presence of Kylo Ren. The dark lord, towering and fearsome, intoned in a voice that echoed through the chamber. “Ye canst not escape the Dark Side.”

Christian, with a determined visage, stepped forth. “We shalt not join thee!”

At that instant, Reagan, unable to resist, did produce a small toy lightsaber from her pocket, igniting its tiny blade in a vibrant blue hue. “Take this, Kylo!” she cried, waving it with great enthusiasm.

Kylo Ren, momentarily bewildered by the sight of the diminutive lightsaber, gazed down upon it. Even the stormtroopers seemed perplexed, their stoic demeanor faltering. Amelia, caught up in the fervor, seized Christian’s hand and didst join in, wielding an imaginary lightsaber of her own.

The ride attendants, striving to maintain their composure, did struggle to suppress their mirth. “We must make haste!” Christian exclaimed, leading the charge towards the exit.

Upon emerging, they found themselves amidst the Resistance base, greeted by the jubilant cheers of animatronics. Their quest was complete. Christian, with a triumphant smile, addressed his comrades. “We hath succeeded, dear friends. The Resistance doth endure!”

Reagan and Amelia, laughing heartily, declared in unison, “This ride was the finest of all!”

As they departed from the attraction, Reagan, still brandishing her toy lightsaber, turned to Christian. “Perchance next time, Commander, we shall enlist more to our cause. Imagine the delightful mayhem!”

Christian, with a grin, responded, “Next time, we shall gather the whole company.”

Thus, the legend of Little Christian, Reagan, and Amelia, the bravest of Resistance fighters in the realm of Disneyland, was born, their escapade recounted and embellished with each telling, growing ever more humorous and grand.

Okay, enough of that.  Here's the long story:

The Chevron Mega-Station

Their next planned stop was the colossal Chevron station just outside Las Vegas, famous for its 99 gas pumps, a White Castle restaurant, and an enormous sasquatch statue. The kids, who had been getting antsy, were thrilled to stretch their legs.

"This place is huge!" Kaiden exclaimed as they pulled in.

"How many gas pumps do you think they have?" Kevin asked, wide-eyed.

"At least 100," Brandon guessed, looking around.

"It's actually 99," Jeff corrected as they all stepped out of their cars.

The boys made a beeline for the sasquatch statue, examining it with the intensity of young explorers.

"Do you think it's real?" Roman asked, touching the statue's, uh, “foot.”

"If it were real, it would eat you," Trevor teased.

Inside, the families marveled at the sheer size of the place. Steve and Mandy grabbed some White Castle burgers, while Lissa and Christian stocked up on road trip snacks. The kids darted around, amazed by the variety of souvenirs and snacks.

"Don't forget the bathroom break," Lisa reminded everyone. "It's a long way to Anaheim."

Lincoln, munching on a slider, suddenly exclaimed, "I just saw Bigfoot!"

"That's just a statue, Linc," Reagan said, rolling her eyes.

"But it moved!" Lincoln insisted, causing a ripple of laughter through the group.

In the chaos of the snack aisle, Jenna accidentally knocked over a display of keychains, sending them scattering across the floor.

"Clean up on aisle five," Mandy called out, trying to hide her laughter as Jenna sheepishly picked them up.

"At least we’ll have snacks for days," Scot said, holding up a bulging bag of chips and candy.
