The Incredible Rollercoaster
The Incredicoaster is fun. It's fast, it goes upside down, and it makes me a little sick. "Some years ago" Trevor decided to ride Space Mountain and after he rode it he said it was really fun. I tried to tell him that if he liked Space Mountain he would love Incredicoaster. He was not interested. Over the next few visits to the park I tried to convince him to do it. If you like Big Thunder (which he does) and you like Space Mountain (which he does) then just try the Incredicoaster! He finally did it, but it took Ben Franklin to convince him to go. Now I think it's his favorite ride in the park. If only I was rich enough to get him to try Guardians.
The Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure is a high-speed, action-packed roller coaster that combines the thrill of extreme drops and loops with the heroic antics of Disney-Pixar’s favorite superhero family, The Incredibles. Opened in 2018 as a reimagining of the original California Screamin’ coaster, the Incredicoaster takes you on a wild ride through the world of the Parr family as they attempt to rescue baby Jack-Jack in a whirlwind of super-powered chaos.
As you approach the Incredicoaster, the sleek, red track winds its way across Pixar Pier, giving you a preview of the twists, turns, and upside-down thrills that lie ahead. The colorful theming and lively soundtrack instantly set the tone for an adventure that’s as exhilarating as it is heroic. And with the imposing loop towering in the distance, it’s clear that this is no ordinary coaster—this is a super-coaster!
Once you’ve strapped into your ride vehicle, designed to look like a sleek red rocket, you’re briefed on your mission by none other than Edna Mode (because no superhero adventure is complete without a pep talk from everyone’s favorite fashion icon). The plot? Baby Jack-Jack is on the loose, and it’s up to you—and the Parr family—to track him down as he wreaks adorable havoc with his many, many superpowers.
The launch is explosive—literally. You’re shot out of the gate at high speed, reaching 55 mph in seconds, as Dash’s voice cheers you on. From there, it’s a non-stop roller coaster extravaganza of steep drops, sharp turns, and a signature loop that turns your world upside down—literally. Throughout the ride, you’ll zoom through tunnels filled with immersive scenes of the Parr family in action, each trying to contain the ever-elusive Jack-Jack.
The real fun, though, is in the hilarious chaos caused by Jack-Jack’s wild powers. One minute he’s bursting into flames (don’t worry, you won’t get burned!), the next he’s multiplying into a hundred giggling baby Jack-Jacks, all causing adorable mayhem. Elastigirl stretches across the track to catch him, while Mr. Incredible and Violet try to use their powers to rein him in. Even Edna gets in on the action, trying her best to wrangle the little troublemaker.
While the storyline adds a delightful layer of fun to the ride, make no mistake: the Incredicoaster is all about the thrills. The track’s long drops, rapid-fire curves, and that massive loop provide plenty of adrenaline-pumping moments. The combination of super-speed and immersive storytelling makes the experience feel like you’re not just on a coaster but in the middle of a high-octane superhero adventure.
As you race through the final stretch, you’ll be relieved to see that Jack-Jack has finally been captured (thanks to a cookie and some quick thinking by Edna), and you can catch your breath. The ride ends with the Parr family reunited, and you pulling back into the station with your heart still racing and a huge smile on your face.
The Incredicoaster is a perfect blend of Pixar charm and roller coaster thrills, delivering a ride that’s equal parts funny, exciting, and, well, incredible. So, if you’re ready to join the Parr family on a mission of high-speed heroics and laugh-out-loud moments, buckle up, hold on tight, and prepare for one heck of a super-powered adventure. Just be sure to keep an eye out for those mischievous Jack-Jacks—they’re fast, unpredictable, and way too cute for their own good!

Here's some more of the long story:
Morning Mayhem
Morning came quickly, and the hotel was a hive of activity.
With only a couple of bathrooms to share among the families, getting ready
became a hilarious exercise in patience and coordination.
Bathroom Chaos
Steve was the first to discover the bottleneck situation.
"Who’s in the bathroom?" he called out, knocking
on the door.
"It’s me, Parkar!" came the reply. "I’ll be
quick, I promise!"
In the other bathroom, Lisa was trying to speed things up.
"Amelia, you’ve been brushing your teeth for ten
minutes! You don’t need to brush every single tooth individually!"
Meanwhile, Zac was trying to shave in the mirror while Gage
and Kaiden were fighting over who got to use the sink next.
"Stop hogging the sink, Kaiden!" Gage protested.
"I’m almost done! Just let me finish!" Kaiden
retorted.
Mandy, juggling her own morning routine and trying to
organize everyone, looked like a general directing troops in a chaotic battle.
"Everyone just calm down! We’ll get through this,"
she declared, though her voice carried a note of amusement.
By some miracle, everyone managed to get ready without any
major incidents. Just as the last kid emerged from the bathroom, they all
realized it was time for breakfast.
I do love the incredicoaster! Except, I secretly wish it stayed screamin'
