Cars and Giants

The cars ride is actually called Radiator Springs Racers. It's in Cars Land, but it's not the cars ride.  Except, we call it the cars ride because radiator springs racers is a mouth full.

It's a good ride, no doubt about it. The cartoon was sure fun when it came out. Larry the Cable Guy at his peak, plus Owen Wilson did pretty good. The ride is better than the movie, I think.

The pictures we get during the ride are fun too. This ride isn't as scary or fast or gut wrenching as the Splash Mountain drop or Space Mountain or Incredicoaster so the pictures are easy to make fun. Mostly though, it's just smiles from all the people riding!

As always, Brandon loves the ride! He's so fun to ride with because he's always smiling and laughing and making weird noises!

This last video has always made me smile.  I don't know why (maybe it's the camera angle) but I look like an absolute giant compared to the people around me.  I'm like a foot taller than everyone else! Nobody even comes up to my shoulders!

Now for the long story:

The Dash to Adventureland

With Steve leading the way, the families made their way quickly towards the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, weaving through the crowds.

"Steve, slow down!" Mandy called after him. "We don't want to lose anyone."

"But the rope drop!" Steve replied, glancing back with a look of pure excitement. "We can’t miss it!"

The Magic of the Rope Drop

They reached the front of the Adventureland entrance just in time for the rope drop ceremony. The anticipation was electric as a Disney cast member welcomed everyone, and the countdown began.

"Here we go!" Jenna whispered, holding Kevin’s hand.

As the rope dropped, the crowd cheered, and Steve could hardly contain his excitement.

"It’s official! Disneyland is open!" he said, almost bouncing with enthusiasm.
