Luke Skywalker and Peter Pan

Another day, another post.

Peter Pan is okay, just okay. The line is stupid long.  As I type this the app says the wait is 45 minutes.  It's pretty consistently a 45 minute wait.  Mandy and I once waited in the line.  She likes the ride more than I do.  I think it's cool and it does kinda feel like you're flying as you go along.  But my biggest issue is the ride's duration. This ride is barely two minutes long.  The ratio of wait time to ride time isn't great. Imagine a 45 minute wait to ride for two minutes. The wait times are so long because of rider throughput. In other words, only two or three people per "car" and there aren't that many cars, so the line moves wicked slow. If it were longer I would like it a lot better because it does feel like flying, but I digress.

Now, watch this video. I don't know what's going on here.  It's like dancing, but not.

Okay, Matterhon.  I've already written about how I'm not so sure I like this ride.  I like it, but I don't. But when you watch this video there is no question about whether Lissa likes it. Kevin seems to enjoy it. Roman might like it as much as I do...

The bad news here is that Small World will be closed when we're there. Bah humbug!  So, since it will be closed here's a small taste of what it's like during Christmas:

Star Wars Land is cool. I like the sound effects that they play on the hidden speakers. Of course I like how the characters mingle in the crowds.  I even like the merch offerings.  I'm guessing Lissa and Christian didn't buy the helmets and "life savers" but through the magic of pictures and social media who would ever know?

Now more of the long story:

Main Street Magic Revisited

As they emerged from the ride, the families were all smiles, their Disneyland adventure truly underway. The excitement of the rope drop, the family tradition of starting with Pirates of the Caribbean, and the promise of churros made for the perfect start to their day.

"Alright, now can we get churros?" Titan asked, looking hopeful.

"Absolutely," Julene replied, laughing. "Let's get those churros and make some more magical memories."

With that, they set off in search of churros, ready to enjoy every moment of their Disneyland adventure. The day was young, and there was so much more magic to discover.

  1. Peter Pan is also one of my favorite rides. I do feel a little bad when we go through the fast lane while everyone else waits 50 minutes to get on the ride. 😅
