Walking the Walk

When we first started going to Disneyland way back when I was entirely focused on riding rides.  I wanted to map out every single ride and basically run from ride to ride.  I didn't much care about the food or if anyone was tired or sick.  I thought that doing more rides was the way to get the most out of the trip. More recently I have found the visits to the park are much more enjoyable when I'm not pressing all the time to do the next ride.  It is fun for me to walk through the park and just see, hear, and smell everything.

Of course, we do end up doing A LOT of walking.  Those of you with iPhones may not know that your phone is constantly keeping tabs on the steps you take. Back in 2019 we did a three day visit to the park.  Side note: maybe we should do that again. We have only done 2-day visits for several years now!  Anyway, take a look at these step counts!  My feet hurt a little just posting these pics!

Anyway, even though we walk so much, it's great fun!

Here's some more of the story. I can't believe I've been posting bits of this story for three weeks and we still haven't even set foot in the park yet!

The Breakfast Dash

The hotel breakfast spread was a sight to behold, and the families descended upon it with the enthusiasm of a pack of hungry wolves.

Waffle Wonders

"Make your own waffles!" Amelia exclaimed, rushing to the waffle station.

Trevor and Branson followed suit, eager to create their own waffle masterpieces. The aroma of fresh waffles filled the air, making everyone’s mouths water.

"Don’t forget the syrup," Scot reminded them as he piled his plate high with waffles.
