More Random Pictures!

Let's take a look at some more random pictures.

One of the old stand by pics:




Lissa happy, Lincoln tired.


Two in ponchos, three without ponchos.  Maybe it's only raining in half the park?  Maybe the little boys just like playing with the ponchos.



These wizard hats are infamous.  Next time we go, these boys should buy new hats and take this picture again!



One of the traditions of many people (not us, though, I don't think) is to take a picture of your kids by this Indian. Every time you go to Disneyland you get a new picture by this Indian.  Then you can see how your kids grow over the years!


The kids liked playing on this cannon.



We most certainly need an updated version of this picture!  Look at all those babies!!!



I think Lissa is strangling little Christian into submission for this pic.

    I love looking at old pictures. As I get older I’m starting to realize the value in a couple of simple photos!

I Got a Hankerin' for a Churro

Sometimes I just crave a churro.  But not any churro.  I want a Disney churro and I want to eat it in the park!  If it wasn't a 10-hour drive down (and thousands of dollars) I'd go get a churro and ride Pirates right now! Here is Gage with a caramel apple churro.  I bought this for myself, took a bite, and offered a bit to him.  He liked it so much he took the rest of it! Here's Gage with a caramel popcorn churro.  I'm not in the picture (because I'm taking it) but I learned my lesson about churros so I bought him one and me one.  This is my least favorite churro.  The popcorn was a bit stale. Autopia Go Carts

This ride...it's not really a ride.  It looks cool because you get to drive a car. I'll be that was a real treat for lots of people when the park opened in 1955.  The issue now is that we've all seen cars, ridden in cars, and know all about cars.  The novelty of driving a car is long gone.  In fact, in order for us to even get to the Autopia attraction we have to ride in a car for a good 10+ hours! The other thing about this ride is how slow the cars actually go.  The last time I rode this ride I was pressing my foot so hard on the gas pedal and we topped out at a whopping 4mph.  That is just a bit north of walking speed.  It's a bit disappointing. The last complaint I have about this ride is the weird guiderail in the middle of the track.  That thing makes it really difficult to goof off as you drive along.  I think you could probably just push the gas pedal and never touch the steering wheel.  That guiderail will keep you in the middle of the road. The best laid plans...

"The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry." -Robert Burns I have been so excited for so long for this trip.  Tomorrow we will head for California!  I have planned this out in my mind many, many times.  I take great joy in planning trips and this one has been no exception.  In fact, 195 blog posts in a row should tell you how much I have enjoyed planning this trip.  One day, out of boredom, I planned our first day at Disneyland.  Step-by-step plans on how to attack the park, have fun, honor our Disney traditions, and try new things.  Here's the map I created-I hope this looks okay: 1. We enter through the turnstiles at approximately 7:30am to make sure we get there for rope drop. We can take a family picture here, and maybe we should since the rope won't drop until 8am. 2. After the rope drops we make a bee-line for Pirates of the Caribbean. 3. We make a quick pit-stop at the Mint Julep Bar for some beignets.  On our way to Big Thunder we grab some breakfast c
