Casey Jr. Circus Train...Again!

Image
I've written about all there is to write about this ride.  It's slow.  The cages are too small for me.  The kids like it. There's a churro cart right by this ride.  At this point we should just look at some of the pictures I have from this ride and then comment on how young the kids look and how much fun it would be to be on the ride while eating a churro.

Characters...again!

Image
Over the years we have met a lot of characters.  Take a look:

Happy Birthday Zac!

Image
I happen to know that Zac loves Disneyland.  He loves churros and rides and fun.  He's up for just about anything Disney! Happy birthday, son!

Let's Have Dumbo Fun!

Image
Here comes some more Dumbo stuff.  An elephant that can fly?  I doubt it. This ride doesn't have a Genie+ option so it tends to be the line we wait in the longest. More line waiting.  I'm obviously not waiting in line.  I decided to skip this ride.  There's no way Dad is excited about this ride, but I'll be he is excited to ride with his granddaughter! Look close and you'll see everyone swing on by!

More Random Pictures!

Image
Let's take a look at some more random pictures. One of the old stand by pics: Lissa happy, Lincoln tired. Two in ponchos, three without ponchos.  Maybe it's only raining in half the park?  Maybe the little boys just like playing with the ponchos. These wizard hats are infamous.  Next time we go, these boys should buy new hats and take this picture again! One of the traditions of many people (not us, though, I don't think) is to take a picture of your kids by this Indian. Every time you go to Disneyland you get a new picture by this Indian.  Then you can see how your kids grow over the years! The kids liked playing on this cannon. We most certainly need an updated version of this picture!  Look at all those babies!!! I think Lissa is strangling little Christian into submission for this pic.

I Know How you Feel about the Wheel

Image
Let's do some more fun pictures of the big wheel.  As dumb as the ride is, it does give us a great view of Disney California Adventure and the surrounding area. As I have mentioned, it's virtually a requirement that we take a picture with the fake pond and wheel in the background. Here is a picture of some of you in the line for the wheel.  If I zoom in and look closely I still don't see any smiles!

Planning, Prep, and Driving

Image
For me, part of the fun of Disneyland is planning the trip, preparing for the trip, and the drive.  I love a good road trip! We have spent a good deal of time and money over the years getting ready to go.  Here we see us the night before the trip.  We are holding the treats we bought for the drive.  Gage is holding a Mickey he got on a previous trip and Zac is wearing his Winnie the Pooh slippers.  We are all wearing smiles in anticipation of the trip! Sometimes we leave Orem early in the morning.  If I drive fast (more on that in a minute) we make it to St. George in time for a late breakfast at Black Bear Diner. It's a good strategy to carbo-load with some pancakes before long days at the park! We've seen this pic before, but I like it, so here it is again. Anyway, for most of the drive the speed limit is 80mph.  I set the cruise at around 85 and we can cover a lot of miles pretty quick! One time, the Diaz family broke tradition and went to Chic-fil-A.

Look at the Grizzly!

Image
Let's ride Grizzly River Run!  It's wet and wild! A poncho is a good idea, but your feet will get the most wet.  The "boat" seems to fill with water every few seconds.  By the time I get off this ride my shoes are totally sloshy.  Luckily, you walk a long, long ways at the park, so your feet dry out pretty quick.  Also, if you hurry and get a churro and go on another ride, you tend to forget about your wet shoes.

More of the Hotel Pool

Image
Some of these pics and vids might be reruns.  It's not easy to keep track of thousands of pictures posted day after day for months on end. Even if you've seen some of these before I know you'll still enjoy looking at them again.

Quick Indy

Image
You should go ahead and memorize this for our next trip: Welcome, my friends, to the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. I, Sallah, shall now give you counsel to seek out a miraculous journey. Here in your transportation devices are  ingenious  pouches for safekeeping all earthly treasures when the journey becomes, uh,  bumpy . And to keep  you  safe and sound, here are special belts attached into the seats. Simply pull it from the right, inserting it into the left, like so. You see the excellence of this invention? Your off-road journey is high-speed and turbulent — going over rough and rugged terrain, and then suddenly you are turning sharply, and dropping suddenly! It is unlike  anything  you have ever experienced, I assure you. Now, my friends, one final word of advice: once you have entered the Chamber of Destiny, look not into the eyes of the idol. That would be dangerous…  very  dangerous. Well, my friends, the moment is drawing near. Already I am envious of the wonders that await you

Jumpin' Jelly Fish

Image
Yes, this is another post about the Jumping Jelly Fish ride.  We have some pictures of this ride and since I'm trying to make a post on this blog every day we're going to look at a few more pics of this ride. One thing about the ride is if you get the right seat you get a pretty good view of DCA. Oh, and maybe to make this post a bit more exciting you can caption one of these photos in the comments!
