Housekeeping Post

One item of business: don't forget that we want to make sure we make the rope drop each day.  That means leaving our hotel at about 7:00am.  I know it's an inconvenience to have to get up early, but there is no better way to make the most of our trip.  Plan accordingly!

This is more of a housekeeping post.  There are a few things that make the trip a lot more enjoyable.  One of them is a full phone battery.  These little battery packs are easy to carry and will charge your phone 2-3 times.  If you don't have one of these you should get one.  Here's the link:

Cell Phone Charger

Here's what they look like:

Speaking of your phone.  Now is a good time to clear some space so you can take all the pics and videos your heart desires. The last thing you want is for your phone to say you can't take more pictures because there's no more storage.  Take 10 minutes right now and delete all the old garbage you've been meaning to delete but haven't done it yet.

On an iPhone you go to Settings>General>iPhone Storage.  This will show you how much space you have on your phone and which apps are taking up room. If you don't have an iPhone take this as your sign that it's time to get one!

You can see that if I would empty my "Recently Deleted" photos and videos I would clear up 388.2 MB.  But I don't care about that because I've only used 120.3 out of 256GB, so I'm good to go to Disneyland today!

Another thing that makes the trip better is some snacks.  Now, I do plan to spend quite a bit of money on snacks inside the park, but it's still good to bring some snacks from home.  Dried mangoes and jerky are popular.  All the fun-sized candy is great, except chocolate.  Do not bring chocolate as it melts easily and makes a huge mess. I might even bring an apple!

It's a good idea to bring a backpack to carry your phone charger and snacks.  This backpack has been to Disneyland a number of times.  Mandy bought this on August 13, 2017.  Over 6 years ago and it's great!  You don't have to have a Disney-themed backpack, but the trip is more fun when you do!  Also, not everyone needs a backpack, but one or two per family will really help carry things.

Here's the thing: if you need stuff for the trip you better get on Amazon right now and place the order.  You need time for the stuff to ship, pack it in your bag, put your bag in the car, and then drive to Disneyland!

  1. Disney is lots of fun but you gotta go through the behind the scenes work to make it happen
